A note to new readers
I've been writing for the screen since 1999. I moved from Seattle to Hollywood in November of 2004. Three of my five screenplays are making the rounds.
My latest comedy, FALSE SECURITY, took 2nd place in the WriteSafe.com contest for the third quarter of 2005.
I wrote, produced, and directed a short film titled, Memoir.
I gained representation as a screenwriter in 2006.

FEAR OF THUNDER is finished!
Yes, I said it before, but I'm saying it again. I'm done, it's done, I have finished a screenplay I didn't think I'd ever finish on May 12, 2004 at 7:01 pm PDT. Finito, complete, das Ende, FADE OUT.
I spent the next day hunting typos and making last minute tweaks. Once that was done I created a PDF file and emailed it to L.A. Then I called my contact and told him he had it. After I hung up with him I let some other folks know I'd reached the proverbial summit. Then I logged onto my wee blog to announce the happy news and trashed my template in the process. Long story. I'd been pondering a change to an XML-based template I'd been playing with. Once I realized I had
no idea whatever what was wrong with my old template, the decision was forced upon me. And so it goes.
Okay, so
now what do I do besides wait impatiently?
I'm tempted to take advantage of my momentum and dive back into SCRATCH right away. I figure it this way: If the news from L.A. is good I'll have two or more Acts of a commercial comedy ready to read. If the news is bad I'll have two or more Acts of a commercial comedy to finish before I feel compelled to give up screenwriting forever. Maybe. We'll see.
